About

Our darkest and boldest single origin decaf coffee, Monsoon Malabar, is loaded with intense rich and earthy flavors highlighted by an incredibly smooth finish. Using the Royal Select Water Process, this particular coffee is 99.9% caffeine-free and uses no chemicals during caffeine extraction which leaves this Monsoon Malabar full of flavor - without the buzz.

Indian Monsoon Malabar coffee undergoes a meticulous "monsooning" process well before it reaches the point of decaffeination. In a warehouse, the beans are put through a simulated monsoon season being soaked with water and exposed to moving air. This changes the beans' appearance, making them swollen and pale yellow, but more importantly, this process changes the flavor to make them smooth and mellow.

This single-serve coffee is compatible with many popular K-Cup® brewing systems including 2.0 and K-Supreme. "Keurig", "K-Cup", and K-Supreme are registered trademarks of Keurig Dr Pepper Inc. Fresh Roasted Coffee LLC is neither an affiliate nor licensee of Keurig Dr Pepper Inc

Timeline

Harvest and export times are based off when a particular coffee will be at its peak quality. Cherries picked at the start of the harvest season tend to be underdeveloped, and those picked at the end are often overdeveloped, so producers aim for that sweet spot in the middle.
